TAK GLOBAL is the world's largest foliage grower
In 1987, Alfredo Mirón's journey led him to a farm along the Mataquescuintla highway in San José Pinula, Guatemala. As he breathed in the local air, he sensed he had discovered the perfect place to cultivate Leatherleaf. Collaborating with his founding partners Ralph Faircloth, Archie Baldocchi, and John Marcell, who shared his values and vision, they embarked on a transformative project that has left an indelible mark on the industry for over 35 years.
Back then, it was merely the aspiration of a visionary entrepreneur who, aided by his dedicated partners, unwavering determination, relentless effort, and an unyielding commitment to excellence, transformed a small fern cultivation endeavor into a multi-hectare production site. Today, TAK GLOBAL stands as the world's foremost foliage grower, spanning multiple farms and operations across four distinct countries, a testament to their remarkable journey.
TAK GLOBAL has always prioritized the well-being of its employees, championing fair compensation and respectful treatment from the very beginning, under the guidance of Mr. Mirón. This commitment has fostered a content and secure work environment, where over 2,000 employees form the tight-knit TAK family.
As a global leader in green foliage, with the capability to produce over 1,000 containers annually, TAK GLOBAL remains dedicated to nurturing employee growth, fostering innovation, and upholding the highest quality standards. This commitment positions us as the ultimate partner for the ornamental industry.
